Rambla Nursing Home is situated in a pleasant residential area close to all local amenities including a post office, shops, tea rooms, a chemist and a library.

Our Resident’s needs and dignity is of paramount importance, which is why we go over and above expectations, to ensure your loved ones are treated like they are part of our family.

Qualified nursing staff are on hand 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for nursing and dementia care, supported by an enthusiastic and dedicated care staff team.  Our philosophy of care is based on six core values of care, aiming to provide residents with: Privacy, dignity, independence, choice, fulfilment and basic human rights.

We welcome Residents of both sexes who are over 50 years of age, on the basis of a full assessment, undertaken by qualified staff. In this way, we are able to ensure that assessed needs can be met. A month’s trial is always recommended before taking up permanent residency. We also cater for respite care.   With 30 single bedrooms, of which 18 have en-suite facilities, all bedrooms comply and exceed current regulations in respect of room size.

Our residents’ bedrooms are furnished and equipped to assure comfort and privacy. Residents are welcome to bring small items of furniture, ornaments and pictures. There are two elegant sitting rooms and a comfortable light and bright dining room, all of which overlook the attractive manicured garden.

Wide range of activities and home comforts

Our residents can expect tasty, nutritious, homemade meals, with a daily changing menu.

We also employ full time activities coordinators, who promote inclusion, whether through group events, including bingo, bowls, arts and crafts, gardening, or alternatively, more personal individual stimulation via reading in a resident’s room, or just a friendly ear for a chat.   Staff encourage and help residents to pursue their interests and hobbies.

We actively encourage the Residents to be involved in all directions affecting their lives and to help them get the maximum satisfaction psychologically, physically, socially and spiritually. We provide personal care including help with meals, washing, dressing, activities and any other assistance required to support daily living.

We are continuously updating and training our staff in the understanding of the people we care for. Our staff take great pride in their work and are always willing to give full support to relatives and friends alike.

Medical

The health and well being of each Resident are monitored by the Registered Nurses 24 hours a day. The Chiropodist, Dentist and G.Ps will visit as and when required. All care is carried out in a respectful manner ensuring that dignity is maintained and the right to privacy and confidentiality is observed at all times.

Scale of Fees

All fees are by negotiation with our Administrator, the Care Manager, CCG Partnership Commissioning Unit and the Relatives.
